Watch Martina’s full review of the Sarah Borghi Solaris 6 Denier Tights. These ultra-sheer natural-tone tights arrived via Amazon in perfect condition, packaged in a classic cardboard sleeve with an inner card around which the tights are neatly wound. Martina notes that the packaging itself is beautiful, and the colour of the tights on first inspection reads as a warm caramel, listed on the box as camel.
At 6 denier, these are among the sherest tights available, and Martina confirms that when she moves she can feel air passing through the fabric, underlining just how fine the knit is. The composition is 82% polyamide, 18% elastane, which she says gives them a strong degree of stretch and elasticity. The gusset is described as genuinely silky to the touch, consistent with the silk gusset advertised on the packaging.
Martina highlights several construction details worth noting before trying them on:
- Gusset: silk construction, noticeably soft against the skin
- Waistband: very soft and flexible, described as feeling almost undetectable when worn
- Toe seam: flat and imperceptible inside both a closed ankle boot and an open-toe heel
- Toe reinforcement: no particular reinforcement at the sole or toe area
- Colour: camel tone that evens out the appearance of the legs, masking minor veins or discolouration like a light foundation
Martina tried the tights with two outfits. For the first she paired them with a black pencil skirt, a V-neck jumper, a short patterned blazer, a black patent belt and black patent ankle boots. She chose this combination to illustrate how versatile a natural skin tone makes these tights, suitable for daywear, work or a casual walk. For the second look she wore them with a patterned evening dress and open black patent heels. With the open shoes the tights remained virtually invisible, giving the appearance of bare legs while still providing coverage.
On comfort, Martina finds them essentially imperceptible on the skin throughout wear. The high elastane content means they stretch easily during dressing, and once on they do not pinch or cause any irritation. The waistband in particular receives praise: she is wearing a size one to two and says it feels as though she is not wearing one at all. The gusset is equally soft and she considers it genuinely useful for comfort.
The one caution Martina raises is durability. At 6 denier the fabric is inherently delicate, and she notes that a rough fingertip, a small piece of dry skin or a sharp nail edge can snag the fabric during dressing or even while wearing them. She recommends care when putting them on and throughout the day. That said, she finds them surprisingly resilient given how fine they are, and her overall verdict is very positive, particularly for anyone who wants a high-quality sheer tight that creates a polished, natural look across a wide range of outfits.
