Watch Mia’s full review of the We Love NYC Rhinestone Fishnet Stockings. In this video she unboxes and wears a pair of black fishnet stockings decorated with multicolour rhinestones, trying them on with two different outfits to see how they look and hold up in real wear.
The stockings come packaged on a card inside a small bag. The net itself uses a very fine mesh, which Mia notes is among the smallest weave patterns available in fishnet styles. That tight construction makes the black colour appear darker and more solid, letting less skin show through than a wider-hole fishnet would.
Before putting them on, Mia inspects the rhinestones closely and finds them to be securely attached and evenly distributed across the stocking. The stones are multicolour, catching the light in a distinctive, sparkly way she describes as very pleasing. A skin-tone version with white rhinestones was also available, but she chose the black pair as easier to match with her wardrobe.
Key observations from the review:
- Fine fishnet mesh: the tightest weave in the range, creating a darker, more opaque appearance
- Multicolour rhinestones: distributed from the ankle upward, stopping below the knee area, leaving the foot plain for comfort
- No toe seam: the toe finish is clean and flat
- One-size waistband: stretches considerably and pulls up to the waist; Mia notes it may slip down slightly with wear
- Rhinestone durability concern: one stone came pre-snagged in the packaging, catching on the net and leaving a small hole when freed
- Rhinestone height: stones reach roughly mid-calf, making them compatible with ankle boots
Putting them on, Mia finds the stockings very easy to pull on and comfortable to wear. The waistband has a good elastic grip, though because the fabric stretches so much to accommodate a one-size fit, the stockings do slide down slightly during wear. She pulls them all the way up to the waist to reduce this. She expects the mesh to return to its normal shape after washing.
The most significant issue Mia encounters is that one rhinestone arrived already snagged inside the packaging, caught in the mesh. When she freed it, a small thread broke and left a tiny hole. She flags this as a durability concern and advises handling the stockings carefully, particularly around the rhinestone areas.
Mia styles the stockings with two looks: first an all-black outfit with a high-neck top, a long skirt with slits, and heeled shoes; second with ankle boots to test whether the rhinestones cause any discomfort inside the boot. She concludes the stones stop at a height that sits just at or above the boot shaft, so they do not dig in, though the look works better with the boots pulled up fully. Overall she gives a positive verdict, saying she loves the brilliance of the rhinestones and would wear the stockings both for evenings out and casual daytime use, but recommends handling with care given the delicate nature of the embellishment.
