The story behind this review starts in the comments section. A viewer from Colombia mentioned a hosiery brand called Jenny, a name Kimera had never associated with tights before. She went looking for it at Las Gatas, a Colombian store, and found two references available: a thicker nylon style in the 20 to 40 denier range, and the ultra sheer 10 denier version reviewed here. She chose the sheerest of the two and picked the natural shade, which she considers the best starting point when testing an unfamiliar brand for the first time.
The sleeve promises a reinforced toe and a bare, natural effect. Inside, the presentation is standard for the category, a simple cardboard insert and a plain bag, with no woven label or logo detail on the leg. Kimera has said before that she reads a small brand marking as a signal of a finer product, so its absence here is the first small disappointment. The fabric felt rough to the touch straight out of the pack, and she says it sounded rough as well when handled.
The reinforced toe is worth noting. Kimera points out that a seller once told her nude tights normally skip the reinforced toe, so finding it on a nude pair is unusual. In her case it works in her favour, since she regularly receives requests for custom videos and photos that specifically call for a reinforced toe.
She ordered a size L despite normally wearing M, which is her standard practice with hosiery. Even so, the fit came out tight. Her theory is that some manufacturers deliberately cut sizes small, because a tighter fit stresses the fabric, leads to faster runs, and pushes the customer to repurchase sooner. She flags this as a personal observation rather than a proven fact, but the pair still felt smaller than expected on the leg.
Kimera styles the tights across three different looks in the video:
- A red formal dress with heels, an outfit she describes as suitable for a graduation, a conference, or any occasion with a dress code
- A second red dress in a different cut, paired with sneakers with light details, to see how the natural shade works with a more relaxed silhouette
- A casual combination with boots, the kind of look she would wear to watch a football match on a rooftop terrace with a burger in hand
Her assessment after wearing them is mixed. On the positive side, the natural shade pairs beautifully with red, the tights survived the full session without a single run despite their thinness, wrinkling is minimal, and the toe area stayed comfortable throughout. On the negative side, the nylon never softens up, the finish is matte with no hint of shine, and above all they do not read as ultra sheer on camera. For a product labelled 10 denier, she notes that other brands at 15 denier deliver more transparency. The bare-leg illusion she looks for, the one that makes viewers ask whether she is wearing anything at all, simply does not happen here.
