Gabriella is a European hosiery brand known for its wide range of tights, stockings and fashion legwear. The Fashion Collection line focuses on decorative patterns and seasonal trends, and the Nova model brings one of this year’s most popular motifs, the polka dot, onto a fine sheer base.

Sara begins with the unboxing, carefully freeing the pair from its taped packaging. The tights come in size 3 and, once out of the envelope, reveal their white dots against the black sheer knit. A closer look shows that the dots are not printed but embroidered, standing slightly raised on the surface, with a delicate shape that Sara compares to a small leaf.

Before trying them on, Sara points out the construction details:

• Soft, wide waistband designed for comfort
• Gusset front and back, with no other seams along the body
• No reinforced heel or toe, the knit stays fully sheer from waist to toe
• Very fine, delicate yarn that Sara estimates at around 20 to 30 denier
• Raised white embroidered dots evenly spread across the leg

The first outfit pairs the tights with a dress, white satin gloves that echo the color of the dots, and lace-effect sandals, partly open and partly closed. Sara notes that the white dots make the tights easy to match with white or black dresses, and with either white or black footwear. In this look she describes the tights as fine but not excessively so, with a pleasant quality feel, and reminds viewers to be careful with nails, as the delicate knit can snag.

The second outfit is bolder: a strapless green mini dress with an asymmetric hem, shorter on one side and longer on the other, paired with silver stiletto pumps for a touch of shine. Sara prefers this combination, as the brighter color makes the tights stand out more than the first dress did. Even under this fitted dress, the waistband and gussets do not show through, and she suggests the look for daytime, or for an evening out with a more casual feel.

In the seated shots Sara slips off her shoes to show the foot. As she explains, there is no reinforcement at the heel or toe, only the classic toe line, and the knit remains equally transparent throughout. She finds this the only less convincing detail, since an unreinforced foot is more exposed to wear, but she considers it a minor point compared to the overall result.

Sara’s verdict is clearly positive: the fit is perfect in her size, the tights do not wrinkle, they feel soft to the touch and on the skin, and they do not squeeze anywhere. Fine, elegant and light enough for summer, the Gabriella Nova polka dot tights are a good choice for anyone looking to add a trendy pattern to a sheer black base.
