Watch Chiara Kia’s full review of the Goldenpoint Fishnet Tights. These are a flesh-toned fishnet style from Goldenpoint, described on the packaging as designed in Italy, and they arrived in a size XS/S. Chiara notes straight away that the colour reads a shade or two darker than her own complexion, which becomes a recurring concern throughout the review.
The construction details are worth noting before moving on to wear impressions. The tights are made from polyamide with 2% cotton, giving them a slightly substantive feel rather than the ultra-sheer quality you might expect from a fishnet. They do not have a reinforced toe, though there is a covered panel at the top and a minimal covered section underneath.
Trying them on with and without shoes, Chiara tests a couple of different outfit combinations to see whether the colour mismatch is an outfit problem or a product problem. Her main observations on the fit and appearance are as follows:
- Elasticity: very stretchy and easy to pull on, with no snagging even with nails
- Durability: showed no signs of laddering or breaking during the review
- Colour effect: visibly darker than her fair skin tone, creating what she describes as a patchy or uneven look on the leg
- Mesh size: a medium-weight grid, neither micro nor large-hole, which Chiara finds sits in an uncomfortable middle ground
- Comfort: soft and comfortable to wear, no warmth or cold issues
- Foot area: the squared mesh pattern on the foot looked, in her words, like a grid of small cubes, which she found unflattering up close
The colour mismatch is the dominant issue Chiara returns to throughout the review. Because her skin tone is very fair, the flesh-tone shade reads like an uneven tan on the legs while the rest of her skin remains pale. She speculates that the tights might work better on someone with a warmer or more tanned complexion, and acknowledges that this is partly a personal skin-tone problem rather than a flaw in the product itself.
Her other significant criticism is the weight and scale of the mesh. She explains that for her taste, fishnets work best either as a very fine, delicate net or as a bold large-hole design. These sit between those two options with a heavier yarn that she finds makes the stocking look less refined and less elegant on the leg.
Overall, Chiara would not repurchase these tights for herself. She praises the material quality and durability, and accepts that personal taste and skin tone play a large role in how flesh-toned fishnets read on any given person. She leaves the door open for viewers with a different complexion or a preference for this style of mesh, and a purchase link is available in the video description for those who want to try them.
