Sarah Borghi Hold-Up Stockings Review by Fede

Fede selected a size one to two for this review, which she acknowledges turned out to be too small for her frame. She is 177 cm tall and wears a size 41 shoe, and on this occasion the stockings sat shorter on the leg than intended and the elasticated top band felt noticeably tight, giving an effect closer to an ankle sock than a true hold-up.

Even wearing the wrong size, several qualities stood out during the review:

• Stay-up performance: the band did not slip a single millimetre whether Fede was seated, standing or changing position
• Lace top band: a wide elasticated lace border that remained flat against the skin and held firmly throughout
• Sheen: a beautiful, luminous finish on the leg described as sheer but not overly transparent
• Toe reinforcement: a small, very discreet reinforced toe seam that remains virtually invisible
• Overall weight: extremely lightweight and comfortable despite the tight fit caused by the size error

The key takeaway on fit is that the sizing runs small or, at minimum, compact. Fede notes that one or two sizes larger would have been perfect for her measurements, and she is clear that any shortcomings in how the stockings looked on her were entirely the result of her own size choice rather than a fault in the product itself.

Fede presented the stockings in two outfits: first with a fitted pencil skirt and black décolleté heels, and then with a very short denim mini skirt chosen specifically to give a clear view of the lace top band. In both cases the band stayed exactly in place and the leg kept its glossy, veiled appearance without budging.

In conclusion, Fede gives a strongly positive verdict. She reaffirms that Sarah Borghi is a reliable brand that once again met her expectations, and she recommends sizing up if you are between sizes or on the taller side. The stockings earn consistent praise for their grip, comfort and the quality of their sheen even when pushed beyond their intended size range.
