Watch Musa’s full review of the Aemen Natural Colour and GOCBOBO Black Faux Suspender Tights. In this video Musa is joined by her friend Lube, and together they each try on one of the two pairs, walking viewers through how the tights look and feel when worn.
Musa wears the GOCBOBO tights, which are black with a faux suspender belt built into the waistband. The suspender detail is constructed from an elastic band that connects to the leg of the tights via a second supportive elastic strip. Musa notes that the faux suspender sits close to the body, holds well, and does not cause any discomfort. The convenience of having the suspender effect without any actual fastening or unfastening was a point she returned to more than once.
Lube wears the Aemen tights in a natural skin tone shade, described as savia. The finish is light enough that you can see the skin and her tattoos through the fabric, yet she feels the weight is not so minimal as to make them fragile. The packaging states these tights are seamless, though Lube discovered on wearing them that a toe seam is present. She found this fine in terms of comfort but notes it rules out open-toe shoes.
- Faux suspender construction: elastic band holds firmly and is comfortable throughout wear
- Nylon fabric: fine but not excessively light, expected to offer reasonable durability
- Natural colour: semi-sheer, skin tone visible through the fabric
- Waistband: sits high, does not dig in, can be folded down discreetly
- Toe seam: present on both pairs despite seamless claim on Aemen packaging, soft and not irritating but not suitable for open-toe footwear
- Run-resistance technology: advertised on the Aemen packaging as preventing a snag from spreading across the fabric
On fit and sizing, both presenters found their chosen sizes to be correct. Musa says the tights feel well tensioned and elastic without gripping or marking the skin. The waistband on the Aemen pair sits high on the waist but can be rolled down without any visible effect. Lube describes the fabric as very soft to the touch.
In terms of styling, Musa pairs the black faux suspender tights with a short dress, suggesting they also work well with a longer skirt, a blouse and a jacket for an office setting. She is clear that despite the suspender detail the look is elegant rather than vulgar. Lube styles the natural tights with a floral skirt and a statement top, describing the combination as a bright, summery look suitable for an evening out.
Both presenters end the review satisfied with their respective pairs. Musa is very pleased with the GOCBOBO tights and plans to wear them across multiple looks. Lube is happy with the Aemen tights overall, with the toe seam the only minor disappointment given the seamless claim on the box. The run-resistance claim on the Aemen packaging was noted as interesting but had not been tested on camera at the time of this review.
