Black Stockings Review by Mia

Watch Mia’s full review of the Black Stockings. In this video Mia unboxes and tries on a pair of black stockings that caught her attention thanks to their standout detail: a red back seam running the full length of the leg, visible from behind and continuing down toward the toe area.

Out of the packaging, Mia notes that the stockings come in standard hosiery packaging and that the fabric is immediately noticeable for being quite sheer and slightly shiny. She mentions being pleasantly surprised by the sheen once they were on, saying it was not as visible in the product image but turned out to be one of the features she loved most.

Mia highlights several key observations about the construction and feel of the stockings:

• Red back seam: runs the full length of the leg and down to the toe, purely decorative and a major style highlight
• Fabric feel: described as very soft and delicate to the touch
• Sheerness: quite transparent, with a noticeable glossy sheen when worn
• Toe area: no reinforced toe piece, with only very soft and minimal seaming that caused no discomfort
• Waistband: no silicone or rubber grip on the inner edge, meaning the stockings require a garter belt to stay up
• Elasticity: stretches well and accommodates the leg with good give on the sides

Because the waistband has no silicone strip or internal grip, Mia is clear that these stockings will not stay up on their own. They begin to roll and slide down without support, so she recommends pairing with a garter belt. This is an important practical note for anyone considering them as hold-ups.

Mia styled the stockings with two different outfits during the review. The first was a black skirt with a red accent top paired with small red heels, using the red tone to complement the back seam. The second was a long backless satin dress in black, which she felt worked beautifully with the glossy finish of the stockings. She noted the stockings look equally good with short or long hemlines.

Toward the end of the review Mia noticed a small snag near the heel caused by contact with her shoe during filming. She applied a small amount of glue to stop it from running, and was relieved it did not spread further. She noted the stockings arrived in excellent condition, which she appreciated given that online purchases sometimes arrive with pre-existing damage.

In her conclusion Mia gives these stockings a score of eleven out of ten, calling them divine and highlighting the combination of softness, sheen, and the decorative red seam as exceptional. Her only practical caveat remains the need for a garter belt, but she considers that an added styling opportunity rather than a drawback.
