The tights arrived in size L and are marketed as super-stretchy and seamless above the foot, promising a skin-evening effect for perfect-looking legs. Chiara notes they feel extremely lightweight straight out of the packet, which is exactly what you would expect at this denier. The only construction seam she finds is at the toe area, and she reports it as soft and comfortable, causing no irritation even when worn with heeled court shoes.

Chiara tries the tights with two outfits: a lightweight, delicate summer dress where she wanted hosiery that would blend in rather than stand out, and a shorter, more casual summer dress to see how the fabric behaved at thigh level. Key observations from both try-ons include:

• Waistband: sits discreetly, leaves no visible marks or rolls under either dress
• Opacity: at 15 denier the coverage is sheer rather than corrective, making the make-up effect claim feel overstated
• Texture: described as slightly rough to the touch, falling short of the advertised silk effect
• Fit in size L: one size too large for Chiara, resulting in the tights rotating and slipping down while walking
• Seam at toe: soft and unobtrusive, confirmed comfortable with closed shoes
• Appearance on camera: legs look natural with no heavy stocking impression, but little visible skin-evening benefit

The most notable practical issue Chiara encounters is that the tights gradually slide down during wear. She attributes this largely to having chosen a size too large, and suggests that sizing down would likely improve both the fit and the staying power. The rotating of the leg panels while walking is also flagged as a minor but noticeable annoyance.

On the question of the make-up effect, Chiara is candid: she does not feel the tights deliver the corrective, skin-perfecting coverage the packaging promises. They read as nearly invisible on the leg, which she finds pleasant in terms of a natural look, but it means they do little to even out skin tone in the way a concealer-style finish would. The texture at the touch is her other reservation, as she considers it slightly rough rather than the silky feel the brand advertises.

Overall, Chiara’s verdict is mixed. The Golden Lady My Secret tights are very lightweight and the waistband performs well, but the size should be reconsidered before purchasing, and buyers expecting a strong skin-perfecting result may be disappointed. She notes she would revisit the product in a smaller size before writing it off entirely, but as tested she is not fully convinced the tights justify the make-up effect promise.
