Wooti Diavola Hold-Up Stockings Review by Chiara Kia

Watch Chiara Kia’s full review of the Wooti Diavola Hold-Up Stockings. These are the Cosmetic variant, described in the listing as size S/M, and they arrived freshly for this video. The stocking features a distinctive double red band at the top and a decorative red seam running up the back of the leg, making it a notably styled piece even within the hold-up category.

The composition is 85% polyamide with elastane, making them essentially a fully synthetic stocking. Despite that, Chiara notes they feel surprisingly light and fresh on the skin. She was wearing them under warm studio lighting at around 25 degrees and did not find them uncomfortably hot, which she admits is not always the case with synthetic hosiery.

The construction details stood out during the unboxing. The foot is pre-shaped, and the heel is reinforced to reduce the risk of snagging and laddering in that high-stress area. Throughout the review, even with moderately long nails, Chiara reports no pulled threads or signs of damage, suggesting solid build quality.

Key observations from the review:

  • Pre-formed foot: adds structure and helps the stocking sit correctly on the foot
  • Reinforced heel: designed to resist laddering at a common weak point
  • Red back seam: a decorative line running the full length of the leg
  • Double red band: the standout styling feature at the top of the hold-up
  • Softness and elasticity: the material feels gentle and stretches without resistance
  • Colour tone: described as amber or golden, noticeably different from a cool-toned fair skin

The colour is where Chiara has reservations. She has fair skin with rosy or cool undertones, and the Cosmetic shade reads as distinctly amber against her legs, creating a visible contrast rather than a natural nude effect. She jokes that it looks as though she borrowed someone else’s legs. She tried two outfits: first a red dress, where the colour mismatch was most obvious, and then a neutral palette of black, grey and white, where the stockings served as a deliberate colour accent and fared somewhat better.

Chiara is clear that the colour incompatibility is personal and skin-tone specific rather than a flaw in the product itself. For someone whose natural skin tone leans warmer or more golden, the Cosmetic shade would likely read as a much closer match. She does not give a negative verdict on the stocking overall.

Her conclusion is that these are well-made, comfortable and attractive hold-ups that she would recommend. The back seam and red band combination gives them a classic, slightly retro character. The only caveat she offers is to consider your own skin’s undertone carefully before choosing the Cosmetic colourway, as the amber cast may not suit everyone.
