The Falke Lunelle hold-ups are 8 denier, making them an extremely sheer, lightweight stocking. Laura notes that at this denier they are very transparent, sitting in that in-between zone that is neither fully opaque nor overly bare. The colour is black, and the sheerness gives what Laura describes as a sheer-to-waist effect that reads as both refined and feminine. The size worn in the review is size small.

One of the first things Laura highlights after opening the box is the welt area. Rather than a plain silicone band, the hold-ups feature decorative embroidery in a blue-green aqua tone running along the thigh attachment. She explains that the silicone band on the inside of the welt, which is standard on most hold-ups, tends to lose its grip after a couple of uses, meaning the stockings no longer stay up on their own. Her recommendation is to pair them with a suspender belt from the outset for the best result, both seated and standing.

She tried two outfit pairings: a blue maxi shirt-dress for a daytime or aperitivo look, and a black lace mini dress for an evening occasion. In both cases she wore black pointed-toe court shoes. Laura found the black-on-black combination with the lace dress particularly well-matched, and noted the stockings looked neat and stayed comfortable in both sitting and standing positions throughout filming.

Laura closes with a candid assessment. She personally prefers tights for everyday comfort, but acknowledges that hold-ups bring a level of elegance and femininity that tights do not match in quite the same way. The main practical drawback she flags is durability: at 8 denier the fabric is very delicate, and she notes that a pair she tested did develop a run, so care when putting them on is essential.
