Leg Avenue Pink Fishnet Hold-Ups Review by Sara G

Watch Sara G’s full review of the Leg Avenue Pink Fishnet Hold-Ups. In this video Sara takes a close look at a pair of pink fishnet hold-up stockings from Leg Avenue, examining them out of the packaging and then wearing them with two separate outfits so viewers can see how they look in practice.

Out of the box, the stockings make a strong visual impression. The back features Swarovski crystal embellishments and a small decorative bow, while the front is completely plain and smooth. The bow appears well-stitched and Sara notes it feels securely attached rather than glued, which gives some confidence it will stay in place over time. The colour is described as a shocking pink, vivid and eye-catching rather than a soft pastel.

Sara tried the stockings with two outfits. The first combined them with a bodysuit, a short skirt and fuchsia heels that picked up the pink tone of the hosiery. The second was a more playful, maximalist look she described as very Barbie, pairing the stockings with a very short skirt in a similar shade and extremely high platform shoes. In both cases the colour coordination worked well and the crystal detail at the back was visible thanks to the short hemlines.

Key observations from the review:

  • Fit and stay-up: the elasticated band tends to roll backwards, meaning the stocking needs constant readjustment
  • Fabric: described as very soft, but excessively so, causing the stocking to shift and not cling properly to the leg
  • Back detail: Swarovski crystals and bow are a standout decorative feature, though Sara wonders how the crystals will hold up over repeated wear
  • Toe reinforcement: there is a reinforced toe area, but because the stocking does not stay in place it sits incorrectly on the foot
  • Heel: no reinforced heel panel noted
  • Occasion suitability: Sara suggests these are best suited to a night out dancing rather than everyday wear

The main criticism Sara raises is that the stockings are too soft and loose-fitting, meaning they do not hug the leg as a hold-up should. The waistband rolling backwards is a comfort issue that persisted across both outfits and both seated and standing positions. She considers this a significant quality drawback compared with other hold-ups she has reviewed.

Her overall verdict is that these are not worth repurchasing. While the aesthetic is fun and the Swarovski and bow detail is genuinely pretty, the practical performance lets the product down. They work as a novelty or costume piece for a single evening, but the tendency to slip, the rolling band and the overly relaxed fabric mean they fall short of what a well-made hold-up should deliver.
