Watch Chiara Kia’s full review of the Falke 6D Black Hold-Ups. In this 4K video, she unboxes a pair of these stockings and tries them on with two very different outfits, giving a clear picture of how they look and perform in both casual-elegant and night-out settings.
The box states these are a size 2, intended for shoe sizes 38 to 39, and they are listed at 15 denier. The declared finish is transparent and shiny, and Chiara notes with some relief that the material is a polyamide-elastane blend, which she considers a reasonable composition. Out of the packaging they feel immediately soft and look acceptably lustrous even before being worn.
Once on, a few practical points become clear straight away. The silicone band grips but has a tendency to stick slightly during application. Chiara flags an issue on one stocking where the silicone band appears to have been sewn onto the stocking body slightly out of alignment, creating an unattractive visible seam at the top. She also notices a couple of pulled threads at the back on the same leg, though the second stocking looks considerably neater.
- Denier: 15, declared transparent
- Finish: genuinely shiny, as advertised
- Softness: exceptionally soft against the skin
- Silicone band: wide and thick, but alignment inconsistent between legs
- Comfort: no sweating reported, even after extended wear
- Horizontal ridging: slight line pattern visible on the leg that some wearers may dislike
On the leg the sheerness is genuine and the sheen is flattering, giving a smoothing effect on the skin. Chiara does mention that horizontal lines appear across the leg, a characteristic she finds less appealing, though the overall look is elegant and refined rather than overtly decorative. There is no lace, no pattern, and no embellishment, which makes them adaptable across different styles.
Chiara shows them first with a simple short dress and open-toe heels, noting that the nail varnish is just visible through the fabric, confirming the true transparency at 15 denier. The thick band is covered by the hemline in this outfit. The second look pairs them with a short skirt and a balloon-sleeve top, where the band becomes visible and is clearly part of the aesthetic. She notes they would also suit a gothic-influenced look given the clean, unadorned design.
Her overall verdict is positive with reservations. The stockings are genuinely comfortable, breathable for a synthetic product, and deliver on their promise of a shiny transparent finish. The quality control issue with the band seam on one stocking is a real drawback worth noting. She confirms they are available on Amazon and considers them worth trying for anyone who wants a simple, wearable hold-up for both dressed-up and more casual occasions.
