Watch Marla’s full review of the Calzedonia Invisible 15 Denier Matte pantyhose. In this Glamissima video review, Marla tests the fit, comfort and overall quality of this everyday sheer hosiery model.
Calzedonia presents the Invisible 15 line as the definition of a pantyhose that should disappear under clothing. The official description promises an extremely comfortable, seamless construction that stays invisible even under the tightest garments, combined with a 15 denier sheer finish and a matte surface that avoids any trace of shine. The pair Marla reviews here is the Nude 7 shade in size 4, packaged in a slim card box that Calzedonia states is made from 100% recycled paper, a detail Marla points out as a good starting impression before even opening it.
Out of the box the first reaction is tactile. Marla describes the fabric as feeling like actual silk between her hands, remarkably soft and fine for a mass market everyday model. She also inspects the construction in detail: a thicker, more opaque waistband section that sits low on the body, a shaped foot with a toe seam, and a fabric that appears to resist nails and scratches better than average. That last point matters to her more than most, since she admits to going through a pair of tights a day when the knit is fragile.
Sizing is the first real talking point. Marla always buys size 4 based on her usual measurements, even though the packaging chart indicates that size for someone slightly taller than her. Once on, she confirms the pantyhose feels very tight, and concludes that dropping to a smaller size would have been a disaster, especially given the low-rise waistband. The tightness never translates into discomfort though: on the legs the fabric feels soft and silky, it follows the body lines cleanly, and there is no pulling or pressure across the toes.
The colour is where Marla is most critical, and she is transparent about why. On her skin the Nude 7 shade reads slightly too dark, producing what she calls a fake leg effect that she can see clearly in person even if it may be less obvious on camera. Her verdict is fair to the brand: this is not a fault of the pantyhose itself, but the inherent difficulty of choosing a nude shade online, where dozens of nearly identical tones make it almost impossible to guess the right match without trying them on first.
The try-on section covers two different outfits. The first is a light coloured dress, where Marla notes that the hosiery does become slightly perceptible at the back if you look closely, and only in a genuinely tight fit. The second is a red dress with a side slit, and this is where the seamless construction pays off: with no seams running down the leg, nothing shows through the opening, unlike standard pantyhose where the seam is immediately visible. The only compromise is the waistband, which becomes noticeable if the garment rides high, since that section is thicker and more saturated in colour than the leg.

Here is a quick recap of Marla’s findings:
- Extremely soft, silk-like hand feel for a 15 denier everyday model
- Truly seamless, so nothing shows under slits or tight fabrics
- Comfortable across the toes with no pulling or pressure points
- Size 4 runs tight, so sizing down is not advisable
- Low-rise waistband, thicker and more opaque than the leg
- Nude 7 shade read slightly too dark on Marla’s skin tone
- Apparently good snag resistance, still to be confirmed with repeated wear
Her final verdict is a qualified yes. Marla initially felt the low waist might let the pantyhose slide down, but by the end of the wear test she reports them sitting securely, despite the rise being lower than she personally prefers. Would she buy them again? Possibly one or two more pairs, in a different shade, purely to find a better match with her skin. What she recommends without hesitation is the comfort: for anyone who wears pantyhose regularly, this is a genuinely easy model to keep on all day.
