Calzedonia presents the Totally Invisible line as a pantyhose built to disappear under clothing: an extremely comfortable, seamless construction, a 20 denier sheer knit with a matte finish and a fabric designed to resist ladders better than average. The pair Marla reviews here is the black shade in size 4, packaged in a slim card box that Calzedonia states is made from 100% recycled paper, with the sizing chart and product details printed on the back.

Out of the box, the first impression is tactile. Marla describes the fabric as remarkably soft and stretchy, but also less sheer than she expected from a 20 denier model. She inspects the construction in detail: a low-rise waistband with a thicker, darker reinforced band, a lighter and more transparent leg section, a shaped foot and a toe seam. Her one reservation appears immediately, since she does not like low-rise pantyhose and always worries they will slide down during the day.

Sizing is the first real talking point. Marla chose size 4 based on the size she usually wears, even though the height range on the packaging suggests she could have gone for a 3. Once on, she confirms the fit feels right, and concludes that a smaller size would have made the low waist even more uncomfortable. She also notes that sizing is partly subjective: she prefers her pantyhose slightly softer on the body, so an extra size does no harm.

The wear test runs through two outfits. The first is a floral dress, where the pantyhose look fine but do not fully convince her. The second is a simple black evening dress, the kind of outfit for an aperitivo or a cocktail party, which she pairs with elegant black shoes to create a continuous line along the leg. Her verdict is clear: the black dress wins, and the veiled, not too transparent effect of these pantyhose works far better with it.

On comfort, the results are strong. Marla reports:

• an extremely soft fabric that feels almost like silk on the legs
• no itching or irritation during wear
• a toe seam that is not noticeable at all
• a knit that inspires confidence with nails and rings thanks to its ladder-resistant construction
• a waistband that stays lower than she likes and feels less secure while walking

On seasonality, Marla is direct: despite the 20 denier weight, these pantyhose feel warmer than expected, so she sees them as a spring and autumn option, or for cooler summer evenings, rather than a full summer pantyhose.

The final verdict is positive. Marla approves the Totally Invisible pantyhose as an easy, everyday model that can be worn without any effort: very comfortable, very soft and pleasant to wear. She is not sure she would buy them again, purely because the low-rise cut is not her style, but she recommends them without hesitation to anyone who regularly wears pantyhose of this type.
